CHICAGO, IL- NOVEMBER 13, 2025 — With the holiday season approaching, HRP Group (HRP), a national leader in complex redevelopment projects, is helping families in need through community giving efforts in cities nationwide. From holiday meal and winter coat distributions to financial contributions supporting local nonprofits, the company’s 2025 Holiday Initiatives will reach residents in Philadelphia, Boston, Alexandria, Virginia, and Chicago.

“We are honored to stand beside our local partners to help lift up the communities we call home,” said HRP Group CEO Roberto Perez. “Our mission at HRP goes beyond development – it’s about the partnerships that build sustainable communities. The strength of our cities lies in the people who make them vibrant, and we’re proud to work alongside organizations that are making a difference every day.”

In Philadelphia, where HRP is reinvigorating 1,300 acres in South and Southwest Philadelphia into The Bellwether District, the project team is leading multiple initiatives to support local residents throughout the holiday season:

Thanksgiving Turkey Drive: The Bellwether District is partnering with organizations including Empowered CDC, Resident Action Committee II, Tasker Street Missionary Baptist Church, and the South Philadelphia Lions Club, along with the offices of State Senator Anthony Williams, State Senator Nikil Saval, State Representative Jordan Harris, State Representative Regina Young, City Council President Kenyatta Johnson and Councilmembers Katherine Gilmore-Richardson, Isaiah Thomas, and Jamie Gauthier to distribute over 1000 turkeys.

Community Dinner & Coat Drive: HRP will join the Salvation Army of Greater Philadelphia in hosting an annual Thanksgiving community dinner at their Community Center. Attendees will enjoy a holiday meal, receive turkey meal kits, and children will be provided with new winter coats.

Winter Coat & Apparel Drives: Throughout December, HRP will sponsor winter coat and apparel distribution events in partnership with NOMO Foundation, Young Chances Foundation, Unity in the Community, Empowered CDC, and the Greater Philadelphia Community Alliance.

In South Boston, HRP is redeveloping the iconic Edison Power Plant at 776 Summer Street. In partnership with the South Boston Neighborhood House and the South Boston Association of Nonprofits, HRP will provide 1,000 turkeys to local families facing food insecurity.

In Alexandria, Virginia, where HRP is transforming the former Potomac River Generating Station into a vibrant mixed-use waterfront destination, HRP Group will be supporting long-time partner ALIVE!, the city’s oldest and largest nonprofit serving residents experiencing food insecurity and housing instability. ALIVE! helps more than 20,000 Alexandrians each month access groceries, financial assistance, and essential household support.

In Chicago, where HRP delivered Exchange 55, the city’s largest LEED-certified industrial facility, the company continues to invest in the well-being of local communities. This month, HRP team members will volunteer and make a financial contribution to the New Life Center’s Pan de Vida Food Pantry in the Little Village neighborhood. The pantry provides fresh food and essential resources to local families, helping to build both nourishment and hope throughout the community.
